Formed in a dank Leeds basement the three piece Ravens have since taken flight to concoct kaleidoscopic soundscapes that capture an England at once recognisable yet seemingly unique.
It is a sound that binds together disparate elements and shared ideals; a sound that has already led to support slots with Trembling Bells and Jack Bruce. What was once a conspiracy is now becoming common knowledge.
Our three protagonists met whilst working imaginary jobs in the three corners of the north. A map of their influences sees the journey start with William Byrd taking in The Beatles and Syd Barrett via a stop off at Camberwick Green for sandwiches and gin.
Alas then, a quintessentially English menu serves up a quintessentially English sound but remember what goes on in the parlour is often more intriguing than what passes in the drawing room…
Expect bawdy tales of clowns and fugitives, cold nights and confusion, lost minds and glorious mornings.
